To train qualified health technicians who adopt an innovative care approach in the field of Home Patient Care Services, are committed to ethical values ​​and are compatible with teamwork.

Vision

To be a pioneer and preferred program in the field of Home Patient Care Services in training health technicians equipped with professional knowledge and skills with a student-centered education approach.


About Programme
Home Patient Care Programme started its educational activities in 2013-2014 academic year. Home Patient Care Programme covers 2 years of associate degree education and individuals who complete their education within the framework of this programme are employed as Home Patient Care Technician. Today, with the expansion of access to healthcare services, the provision of home healthcare services for patients who have difficulty in accessing healthcare institutions or who are in the terminal period stands out as an important solution provided by professional healthcare teams. The increasing need and demand for preventive, supportive and rehabilitation-oriented health and social services beyond curative services also increases the need for competent and experienced healthcare personnel. The increase in the demand for home health services, in parallel with the change in the health needs of the society, brings along the need for trained and equipped health personnel in this field. For this purpose, in accordance with the Health Transformation Project, the ‘Regulation on the Provision of Home Health Services’ dated 10.03.2005 and the ‘Directive on the Implementation Procedures and Principles of Home Health Services Provided by the Ministry of Health’ dated 01.02.2010 were put into force for the provision of home health services by health institutions and organisations affiliated to the Ministry of Health. Home patient care is based on meeting the health needs of individuals in their own homes. This service aims to improve the quality of life of both individuals and society by enabling individuals to access the health and care services they need in their own living spaces without moving away from their families and social environments.

Goal

With a student-centred approach, in order to meet the needs in the public and private sector; To train innovative and qualified professionals who are equipped with the professional knowledge and skills required by the Home Patient Care programme, compatible with teamwork.


Admission
Higher Education Council in accordance with relevant legislation, is determined by OSYM.

Graduation Requirements
Students who successfully complete all compulsory courses specified in the course plan and the minimum number of elective courses required; complete 120 ECTS credits and have a minimum CGPA of 2.00/ 4.00 will graduate.

Degree To Earn
Students who successfully complete the programme receive an "Associate's Degree" and are entitled to receive a “technician” title.

Transition To Top Level
Upon successful completion of pre-license education candidates by SSPC as the center of the Vertical Jump Test, successful vocational college graduates can continue their education in graduate programs listed below: Nutrition and dietetics, physiotherapy and rehabilitation, nursing.

Graduates of our programme are prefferred in the most developed and modern public and private hospitals as well as in medical companies in our country.
